A student from my class has lost his mother

Questions:

Hello health-root,

I am a newly-educated elementary school and I have a problem that I can not solve.

I have a girl in my class who needs some help.

She lost her mother 1 year ago and her grandfather about 2 months ago. She is struggling to let go of the father at school and at the moment she closes everything out and only the father can be used. That's understandable, as she obviously is afraid of losing him too, but the father has right now allowed us to explore the possibilities of helping her.

So my question is? Where can I find the best possible help in Ribe County, Sorrows, Psychologists I can contact and get advice and guidance for her. She received a little psychological help when the mother died but could not use it at any time, but now she really needs it.

Can you help me with a good advice, I would be really happy and relieved. I just want the best for her so she can come to school and be happy.

Yours sincerely

The worried folk school teacher Helle

Dear Helle,

When you are 6 years old and lose one of your parents, it can often be a problem to get the benefit of psychological help in the post-loss period. Now it's been 1 year and immediately it can be very difficult even to work through the loss. along with one's closest - and it's a natural reaction to be in close contact with the father in fear of losing him too.

Most schools have a school psychologist attached, so I would like to suggest you initially have a conversation with the psychologist of the school or the primary municipality's psychologist, p. talks with a psychologist. If the primary municipality does not have psychologists, they usually "buy" for psychological help from outside or from the county.

It is of course important that your student is motivated for psychological help and that she has a good "chemistry" with the offered psychologist.

Yours sincerely
