- Efavirenz "Teva" may reduce the effect of levonorgestrel (regression play) by approximately 50%. Therefore, in case of emergency contraception up to 4 weeks after Efavirenz Teva is taken, a non-hormonal contraceptive should be used, ie. a copper coil. You should therefore contact your doctor.
