Have I got a blood clot in my arm?
Questions
Dear Network Doctor
I'm on vacation in Canada and got a raised right arm for 3 weeks, after 3-4 days I woke up with chest pain, dizziness, discomfort and really uncomfortable, went to hospital where I was examined for a blood clot in heart and lungs and in right-handed arms, heart charts and blood samples, but they did not find anything so I was sent home with antibiotics that I have taken 4x DL for 7 days.
After this, my right arm is still raised and sore along the vein of the forearm and I have a chest tightening collision and become really uncomfortable. Can I have a clogged artery so my right arm does not get enough blood or oxygen? I am a doctor and think that it is a clog, but never met a description with a raised right arm, my seizures last for 5-10 minutes, so they break off, they do not come under exertion but when I sit.
Every time I get an attack, I will drive to the hospital, but then I'll have 25 minutes to the nearest hospital in Canada. I'll be here for 6 months and have 3 months, and I dare not go home if I up in the air would get striking and there are 5 hours to land. If there is a blockage and you have to have a stent how long should it go before I can fly again? Hope you can help me so I can have some rest or if I have to go to the hospital, my 3 outer fingers also summon.
Sincerely, a Question

Dear Questions
Unfortunately, you do not write which studies were done on your arm exactly when you were at the hospital, and initially it makes it difficult to guide you. A blood clot in the arm is a rare, yet existing, condition. A blood clot will usually sit in the blood vessels that lead back to the heart, the veins, which prevents the backlash of blood and thus creates a swelling. This will most often be associated with local discomfort as you describe it, with pain along the blood vessels.
The other type of blood clot is in the blood vessels that come from the heart, the arteries, and it will initially not give a proper swelling, but on the other hand, make the arm cold and blue as there is no longer fresh blood to the arm. Common to both states is that there is nothing that comes and goes the way you describe it. A parallel cervical system in the arm is the lymphatic system, and a drainage obstruction in this system will also cause swelling and discomfort in the arm. This is not seen rarely in connection with infections, which may explain why you were treated with antibiotics. Another reason may be overload in the neck and shoulder region, which causes local swelling and pain. If this becomes violent, it may in principle cling to the blood vessels that go to and from the arm, thus giving the symptoms you describe.
When describing your seizures as starting with a conspicuous feeling in the heart, any heart disease should also be completely clarified, whatever it sounds to be. If you do not feel that the examination and treatment you initially received at the hospital in Canada is adequate, consult a doctor again to clarify your doubts. It is not possible to do this without being able to see and examine your arm. Should it come as you write a stent in a vein you will be able to fly very shortly after the treatment as such is completed immediately.
Yours sincerely
